Robert J. "Bobby" Dewees, age 45, passed away in September 2026.

Bobby was the beloved son of Robert "Bob" Dewees and the late Lora M. Dewees (nee McClure), who passed away earlier this year. He was the brother of Jennifer Dewees (partner, Thomas Hance) and the loving uncle of Ava and Elena Sproul. He was the grandson of the late William and Eunice Dewees and the late Robert and Marie McClure.

Bobby shared a special bond with his cousin Steven Dewees and will always be remembered by his many aunts, uncles and cousins in the extended Dewees family. His lifelong friends Joey and Heather Kranz and Allen Willis (Ashley) were an important part of his life and remained treasured friends throughout the years. He also shared a speciel friendship with his neighbor, Hank Stumpf, as the two looked out for and helped one another over the years.

Bobby grew up in the Catholic faith and attended St. Philomena school in Lansdowne, where he served as an altar boy. A naturally gifted athlete from a young age, he excelled in football, baseball and soccer. He later graduated from Avon Grove High School before attending the Automotive Training Center, where he earned a specialized degree in automotive technology. He continued his education in Delaware County Community College, studying geothermal systems installation.

Bobby was a talented automotive technician with a natural ability to understand how things worked. He spent much of his career working for area dealerships, including more than five years with Williams Chevrolet and many more years with Stillman Volvo, and also worked as a certified Audi technician. He earned numerous technical certifications throughout his career and took great pride in his skills. Cars and trucks weren't simply his profession; they were his lifelong passions.

Outside of work, Bobby loved hunting, firearms, cars and trucks, and just about anything mechanical. He enjoyed working with his hands, and his knowledge came not just from training but from a genuine curiosity that stayed with him his whole life.

Bobby also had a tremendous love for his dogs.He was preceded in death by his beloved Boots and Lucy, and his dog Bailey was especially dear to him, providing companionship and bringing him tremendous joy.

Bobby faced significant health challenges in the later years of his life, but those challenges were only one part of his story. He was a son, a brother, an uncle, a cousin and a friend. He was talented and mechanically gifted, pursued his interests with passion, and was deeply loved by his family and friends who had known him for much of his life.

Bobby's passing comes only months after the loss of his beloved mother, Lora. His family takes comfort in their Catholic faith and entrusts Bobby to the mercy and loving care of God, praying that he and his mother are reunited in eternal life.

Bobby will be deeply missed by his family and friends and remembered for the entirety of his life and for the person they knew and loved.

Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday, September 11, from 9:00 to 10:15 am at St. Philomena Catholic Church in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania.A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Brandywine Valley SPCA in honor of Bobby's love for animals.
