DEWEES

Lora M. (nee McClure)  February 21, 2026 beloved wife of Bob Dewees. Loving mother of Jennifer Dewees, Bobby Dewees, and Jeanine McCormick (John). Dear grandmother of Ava Sproul, Elena Sproul, Sarah McCormick, and Erin McCormick. Sister of the late Lois Rondeau (Al) and the late Robert "Skip" McClure (Edna). Sister-in-law of Rose Sullivan (the late Gene), Billy Dewees (Kathy), Tommy Dewees (Cathy), and Mary Kelly. Daughter of the late Robert and Marie McClure.

Lora had a long and dedicated career in the insurance industry, where she earned the respect of colleagues and made dear friends. But as much as she valued her work, her heart was always with her family. Her professional life brought her pride, but her true fulfillment came as her roles as Mom and Grandma. She expressed her love in thoughtful details, from the outfits and gifts she chose with care to the special shopping trips and outings she shared with her daughters and granddaughters. These moments created memories we will always cherish.

For more than 15 years, Lora's beautifully decorated cakes were a staple at family birthdays and celebrations, a tradition everyone looked forward to. She loved to travel, and she especially loved the beach, a place where she shared many treasured vacations with her family. She was the person we all turned to in moments of need, the one we instinctively reached for when someone was sick, overwhelmed, or hurting. She was the consummate caregiver, always putting others before herself and making sure everyone around her was fed, supported, and cared for. She gave the best hugs, the kind that made everyone feel lighter.

Lora and her husband Bob were inseparable for more than 56 years, including 53 years of marriage. They were partners in everything from big milestones to the simple routines of daily life. They ran errands together nearly every day, sharing a quiet and steady companionship that defined their life together.

Her presence was a gift, and her loss leaves a hole that can never be filled. We will carry her love, her generosity. and her warmth with us always.
