URBANI

Peacefully on June 20, 2024, Philly lost one of its most loyal sports fans, Joseph John Urbani. Beloved son of the late Gayton P. and Janette E. Urbani. Loving brother of Gayton Urbani (Kathryn) and the late Joan J. (Urbani) Vance. Adoring companion of Ms. Ellen Smith. Joe is survived by his nieces and nephews, Jean Marie Martin (Thomas), Ellen J. Urbani, Danielle P. Vance (Mark), Jacqueline M. Urbani (David), Ronald A. Vance (Melissa), JoAnn M. Simpson (George), and Gabrielle P. Urbani. He is also survived by his great nieces and nephews Tyler (Kirsten), Brooke, Jenna (Gabriella), Casey (Dylan), Hailee (Matthew), Jake, Chloe, and Matthew. He is also survived by his newest great-great nieces and nephews, Rylan, Lydia, Cameron and Talia. He devoted his entire life to caring and serving his family, friends, and the youth of Grays Ferry. He also spent years as a faithful and loyal parishioner of St. Gabriel's Church and coaching the Grays Ferry Little League and St. Gabriel's Youth Football. Joe resided in Wilmington, Delaware. Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at St. Gabriel's Church 29th & Dickinson Sts. from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Funeral Mass 10:30 am. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
