Obituary

REIFF

John Richard Reiff, of Havertown, PA, passed away peacefully on August 30th. He was 86 years old. John was the beloved husband of Gloria for 58 years, and theirs is a marriage to which we should all aspire.

John is survived by Gloria, his daughter Laurette, his daughter Melinda (Wright), his son Jonathan, and his daughter-in-law, Gillian McDermott, as well as by his sister Susan (Proska). He was grandfather to Dr. Brynn Reiff, Madison Wright, Christopher Wright, Gwyndolyn Reiff, and Colin Reiff.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Nellie and Paul Reiff, John was the middle of three children. He graduated from Southeast Catholic High School and graduated from Villanova University with a degree in Marketing and Business Administration. In addition, he attended Villanova's graduate program.

While many would say John's biggest professional accomplishments were connected with his being president & CEO of JRA Marketing and Strategy, it was John's extensive philanthropic achievements and appearances on numerous Boards of Directors, including the Philadelphia Junior  Chamber of Commerce, St. Francis Community Services of Salina, the Delaware County Community Foundation, and most recently, the local chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, that gave John his most professional satisfaction.

John was proudest of, most caring towards, and most passionate about Gloria, Laurette, Melinda & Jonathan. John was a devoted fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, the Philadelphia Phillies, and the Villanova's Men's Basketball program. When talking about John's outgoing personality, Gloria is fond of saying, "John could make friends in the graveyard."

Relatives and friends are invited to John's Visitation on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at St. John Neumann Church, 380 Highland Lane, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010 from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. The Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 am, and interment at St. Denis Cemetery will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in John's honor to the Penn Memory Center at 3400 Civic Center Boulevard, South Pavillion, 2nd Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19104, ( https://www.pennmedicine.org/practices/memory-center ), care of Dr. Jason Karlawish.
