Chi Keung (Stephen) Lee, 80, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away on June 18, 2026, in Philadelphia. Chi Keung was born on September 15, 1945. in Heshan, China. He grew up in Hong Kong and Macau. He immigrated to the U.S. in the 1970's. On July 3, 1975 Chi Keung married Lan Ying Young in Philadelphia. Together they built a life in Philadelphia and raised two children, Sidney and Albert. Chi Keung and Lan shared 50 years of marriage. Chi Keung worked as a cook at several different restaurants in Philadelphia and Atlantic City for over 30 years, where he was known for his speed in the kitchen. Chi Keung also enjoyed telling a story of how a VIP guest would arrive at the Golden Nugget in the early 1980s. He was tasked with making their order of chicken chow mein to his liking.The guest was known for his blue eyes. Yes, talking about Frank Sinatra. Chi Keung was a loving husband and father. He enjoyed swimming, fishing, and traveling. He was a member of Holy Redeemer Chinese Catholic Church and was known for always having an easy smile. Chi is survived by his spouse, Lan Ying: children, Sidney (Sharon) and Albert (Danielle).

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Holy Redeemer Chinese Catholic Church 915 Vine Street Philadelphia, PA 19107. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:00 am. Service will begin at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Roslyn, PA. There will be a reception at 1:00 pm at Ocean Harbor Restaurant 1023 Race Street Philadelphia, PA 19107. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Parkinson's Foundation. (Parkinson.org)
