Bing J. Mark, 62 from Morton, PA died unexpectedly on October 24, 2023. He was the beloved son of Yuk Ying Mark and the late Francis D. Mark. In addition to his mother, Bing is survived by his siblings: June Mark and husband John Goodnow, Richard Mark and wife Janice, Susan Mark-Sracic and husband Paul Sracic, and Lana Mark and husband Hal Erickson. He was the uncle of several nieces and nephews, Kenneth Mark, Victoria Mark, Katya Sracic, Michael Goodnow, Anna Sracic, and Lena Goodnow. Born in Philadelphia, PA he grew up in West Philadelphia and Springfield, PA. After graduating from Springfield High School, he attended the University of Pennsylvania. Then, Bing worked at the Philadelphia Inquirer conducting research, working in the book review department, and also served as the dance critic. Following his tenure at the Inquirer, he worked in the classical music department at Tower Records. For the past dozen years, he was a devoted caretaker for his aging parents, and worked in the electrical department at Home Depot. Bing enjoyed many lifelong interests with a passion for the arts and sciences, including poetry. classical music, dance, and film. Most recently, he enjoyed taking classes at the Barnes Foundation. Relatives and friends are invited to a Visitation and Funeral Service on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at 10:30 am at the John R. Deady Funeral Home 2501 S. Camac Street, Philadelphia, PA 19148. Interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery 2556 Susquehanna Road, Roslyn, PA 19001 following the service.
